What do you think of these Lenormand Cross combinations? Let me know in the comments below. I'd love to hear from you!
Well this seems awful! I am new to Lenormand, but I asked the question “How can I best overcome my agoraphobia?” today in a three-card spread. I pulled the Key, the Cross, and the Ring, in that order. So if the Cross is the one that sets the tone for the reading, does that mean it’s going to take a lot of suffering to overcome? Because if that’s the case, I’m worried I won’t be able to do it. :/
Hi Tanya, Remember that with Lenormand, it isn’t just one card answering your question. It’s all cards read together. While the center card can set a theme for a spread, the spread isn’t limited to just the center card. There is a lot more information in your spread. Go beyond your initial idea of “a lot of suffering to overcome.” This article may help you: How to Read 3 Card Spreads
Hmmm…well, the Key means success and that everything should turn out fine…but the Key + Cross means sacrifice or significant pain. Then the Cross + Ring means unhappy relationship or painful agreement. And then the Key + Ring means significant relationship or important agreement.
I confess that I’m at a bit of a loss here. The key and cross make it sound like there will be suffering to overcome, but that I can do it. I’m not sure I understand the ring’s role. I would think that I will need the help of a significant relationship to overcome it, but then the Cross + Ring combination makes me think that perhaps there is a relationship that is holding me back? But how could a relationship hold someone back from overcoming something like that? I’m so confused.
Remember to answer the spread according to the question you asked: “How can I best overcome my agoraphobia?” not “What is holding me back from overcoming agoraphobia?”
Okay…am I on the right track with any of it?
Of course, you are. Just remember that the cards are always answering the question you asked. Interpret them according to the question. It’ll help narrow the possible meanings down and direct you to the correct interpretation. If things are confusing, try different card meanings to see if they make more sense. For example, does it make more sense to you if you interpret the Ring as cycles, commitments or a contract, rather than a relationship? Would the Cross make more sense using any of its other meanings, such as religion, exhausting illness, a need for balance in life, etc? You can find the meanings here: Key, Cross, and Ring.
Also, sometimes 3 card spreads are more challenging to use for the type of question you asked when you’re first learning because you’re limited to 3 cards. You may not get as full or as complete of an answer you’re looking for. A 5 card spread might give you a clearer answer with more detail.
Hi Tanya,
Dont get dramatic. Sorry, don’t mean to offend you, I’m reading from 4 different cards in most of my life. Lenormand I came across by my friend and we started to explore. I find it very magnified, down to the core. Same feelings got me at the beginning as got to you. As i said, I’m new to Lenormand as well, but started to translate two english and one Italian sites and that opened my eyes about the different possibilities of the meanings.
Try to look at other sites as well, not only one; you might find a much suitable answer in the next site. Also, if something not clear, don’t be scared to pull other cards on it, to verify. I never close a reading after the first 3 cards pulled…that is ONLY the base for your issues, answers in my eyes. You will develop the sense, when the sentence is complete!
Don’t be scared, just explore!! And enjoy the knowledge in your hands!!!
In my opinion what you have pulled is ABSOLUTELY NOT BAD!!!
Actually: key and cross: You take responsibility over your actions!
cross and ring: your relationships play important roles in this
So in my eyes…your friends will play key role to help you get over on your agoraphobia!!!
You see!!! Not bad…not bad at all!!!
Have a wonderful day!
Gabriella
Hmmm. Well, cycles or commitments could work, I suppose. Like working on overcoming my agoraphobia might come in cycles where some times are easier than others. Perhaps I could take advantage of those times. As far as the Cross, with the religion meaning I wouldn’t necessarily think so as I am not particularly religious, but I do feel like it would help me to be more spiritual in my everyday life–one reason I’m trying to learn to read the cards, actually! Or exhausting illness–I’m diabetic, and that’s exhausting. I also have stomach issues that contribute greatly to my agoraphobia (I’m terrified of it happening while I’m out somewhere, and it can come on REALLY fast). As far as a need for balance, I’m sure we all need that.
I just saw that one of the possible meanings of the key is spiritual connection. Maybe spirituality is the key to overcoming the agoraphobia?
I’m having enough trouble with 3-cards, I’m afraid to try 5-card readings yet! lol
