My friend, who I turned on to you, found your list to these individual lists. They’re just wonderful. Words cannot express my gratitude. Thank you so much.
Thanks Karen! I’m so glad you’re finding them helpful.
Hi I recently bought a deck and did a 5 card reading. The Fox + The Rider + The Stars + the mountain + the tree.. But I don’t know what it means. Please help
Hi, Question for you. Used to Tarot, just getting into Lenormand. Having trouble finding verbs for most of these cards. I got chatting, gossiping with the birds, but then the bear— all kinds of adjectives and can see noun, but I can’t think of (or read anywhere) an ACTION for the bear. There are so many cards like that–the nouns are easy; adjectives come easily, too, but so many of these do not lend themselves to action…
I don’t like to pull out a significator card, preferring to have it come up, if it does, as part of a spread, but when a person comes up…what is a verb for “female” and “male”? For “child”? Same way with so many…making a list of cue words now and notice that I started out trying for noun, adj, verb — and then noticed that all my so-called verbs were really just adjectives — like for bear, big and burly, or protective, strong — but what’s the verb? (I keep using that, as that’s when I just now gave up on my iist, but U need help with verbs for most of the cards…there are so many like that…)
Thanks,
Jen
Hi Jen,
Card meanings can be found here: Lenormand Card Meanings
Lenormand doesn’t work like Tarot. You won’t always find verbs for cards. You won’t always have significator cards come up in a spread unless you’re doing a Grand Tableau.
Sometimes a verb is easily extrapolated, such as the Dog card. It’s tied to loyalty and helpfulness. Thus a verb can be to help or to aid. Other times, a verb comes from a combination, such as Whip + Letter indicating the act of writing. The Man and Woman cards are not action cards – they indicate people or qualities that people are displaying, such as a woman who is displaying traits typically assigned to men.
